Our hero from Resident Evil is back. Leon is on a mission to rescue the president’s daughter, Ashley. She has been taken hostage by some unknown organization in a mysterious Spanish town. Their goals are unknown, but you must uncover the mystery of what is going on and why they kidnapped her.

The Wii edition’s graphics have not improved much from the GameCube, but they are still great graphics. The sound is still great and helps to set the mood especially at various points in the game. While the Wii edition obviously adds the support for the Wiimote, nunchuck, and classic controller, it also keeps support for the Gamecube controller. Playing with the Wiimote feels natural and the controls take no time to master.  The Wii edition also adds in all the PS2 extras for even more replay value.

If you don’t own any previous version of Resident Evil 4 but love the series, the Wii Edition is a must. It combines the best elements of the Gamecube and PS2 version into one. Additionally, pointing with a Wiimote to shoot is much easier than a joystick. It is even priced just slightly higher than Resident Evil 4 for another console, but the extra $10 is more than worth it. You’ll get hours of replay value and easily 20 hours on the main storyline alone.
