Neopia is in great danger! An evil faerie threatens the freedom of Neopia with her dark powers and countless minions. Only two young heroes, Tormund and Roberta, can save Neopia from the evil faerie.

This game has very similar attributes as Legend of Zelda for the N64—somewhat nice graphics and good fighting. However, the fighting system can get tediously fast, and the same attack is used over and over. While the dialogue is not the greatest, this game has a long, drawn out storyline. At times, you can find a pet to feed and drag along with you into battle and your adventures.

One of the good aspects of The Darkest Faerie is the enchanting abilities of nodes onto armor, weapons, and clothes. Another is that you can switch Tormund and Roberta back and forth, kind of like “tag-team RPG.”

The Darkest Faerie cannot really be developed into something more, even with its Neopets name behind it. With the exception of the use of tag team, this game is very similar to the old generation of role playing games. Although this may be a game meant for young children to enjoy, the long dialogue risks losing their attention.
