Karaoke fans get more bang for their buck this time around. Its time to break out the cowboy hats and spurs. Its CMT presents Karaoke Revolution, country style. The game features 35 hit songs such as The Gambler, Stand By Your Man, Crazy and I Walk The Line. All of the songs were licensed and performed by the talented team at Harmonix studios.

There are 3 main game modes for one to choose from. Quick play puts a singer right into the action where they can pick a random character and a random stage. It starts off right away with the basic selection of songs. There are 2 other modes that have sub features One mic mode is one player. Two Mic mode is for multiplayer. The sub features include Arcade , Medley, Party and Mini Games. Arcade mode puts your character through 15 different venues to become the country singing champion. Medley mode allows you to select three songs for you to perform in succession. Party mode is the same as quick play mode but allows up to 8 people to participate. There are also a bunch of fun mini games for a diva or country hero to play with if performing wears them down. There are many unlockable extras for music stars to unlock such as new songs, characters, and venues.

The graphics in this game are average; something you would expect from a game of this type. One of the interesting features is that you can add your face by using the Eye Toy and the software will render a 3D model of the singer (basically your picture superimposed on one of their stock characters) and puts them on stage.

Those of you who are secretly wishing to become singing stars need to include this one in your karaoke revolution collection. Its fun and for it's standard gaming price its cheaper than buying a load of karaoke CD's that do only one thing. Great for parties and special occasions, this is a great buy.
