In the year 2013 there is a new type of soldier for a new type of war. You play as CPT. Scott Mitchell, team leader of the Ghost squad. Mexican military officials have decided to make a little extra money on their own. The illegal sales of technology to the Colombian rebels should make life a little better. The Ghost squad will have to ensure the capture of these officials and stop them from continuing these illegal activities. The President of the United States and the Canadian Prime Minister are about to sign the NAJA (North American Joint Security Agreement) with the Mexican President. This policy will fight illegal immigration and the movement of drugs and terrorists. The three leaders are assaulted by Mexican soldiers and captured. Now it’s time for CPT. Mitchell and the Ghost squad to take action and rescue these important men.

The first thing you notice about Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter is the graphics. Watching the opening movie really gets you pumped for the game. The details are very crisp and clean; the gear and the weapons look unbelievably realistic. The game’s sound effects and music will keep you interested and is pleasant to the ear. While in combat, you hear the ‘wiz-zing’ of bullets, the pounding of tank rounds, and radio calls that don’t take away from the action.

Game play is pretty awesome too. There’s no lag time and the loading goes quick. I’m not really a first person shooter fan, but this game is fairly easy, and the training mission is helpful. The cross-cam feature is okay for controlling tanks, helicopters and UVA, but I wasn’t too big on the squad control. I think using the headset to give voice-commands would have been really cool.

Online game play is very fun. Combat is intense so you’ll have to be on your toes. Picking the right teammates will be crucial if you want to dominate the battlefield. I really enjoy the ‘create a character’ mode and all of the customizable multiplayer game types. The surprising thing about all this is that it’s actually really easy. The downloadable content is also very nice. You can download co-op campaign content, adversarial multiplayer maps, new game types, camouflage patterns, character customization faces, new weapons, and for a small price of 600 points you can get the Chapter 2 expansion.

I give Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter a high Evolution Factor.  The 360 really showed off its power with GRAW and there is a lot of positive feedback to show for it. Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter is the weapon of choice for many gamers and with all of its positive features and downloadable content, GRAW will stand the test of time.
