Farcry Instincts Predator is a 360 remake of the original XBOX version. The main difference is that it is enhanced for the use of the HD feature; but just because it is a remake does not mean that Ubisoft won't add a bit more.

The game is a great shooter with the ability to dual-wield and melee like Halo 2. Unlike Halo 2, you are given special abilities that transform your character into different animals and allow you to enhance your damage with feral instincts.

Players start out on a fishing boat on the coast of a nameless island with a reporter who wants to take pictures of the environment. The storyline continues as the character falls asleep and wakes up near a washed aircraft. At this point, the player is given an identity.

The story leads to the player turning into some feral creatures with cool slashing attacks. Another feature that makes this game stand out is the map maker. Gamers can publish their maps online and play with others on XBOX Live. It has full online features: voice, online play, friend's lists and game hosting. The maximum numbers of players offline is 4, 16 with system link. If that isn't enough, there is an extra game you can play with a new storyline if you beat the original one.

Multiplayer is the same as most FPS console games: kill everyone, along with modes with other objectives. Capture The Flag mode in the previous version of the game has been replaced with “capture the sample.” There is also a Predator mode where predators score by killing mercenaries before they reach the alarm; if they do, the predator dies.

The overall graphics are stunning and detailed. Game controls are quite easy to learn for new players of the game.

Overall, Farcry Instincts Predator has great value, and the extra features make it worth the price. You can keep playing this game with the different modes and environments, and it serves as great multiplayer fun. The formula of game play is the same, but it's the people that you play with that make it worthwhile.
