The greatest air battles of World War II in famous locations from across the globe are available for gamers to experience firsthand on the XBOX 360. Whether it's the Battle of Britain or the fierce fighting for the desserts of North Africa , the player and his squadron of Blazing Angels will be responsible for turning the tide of war. Similar to Ace Combat, the player commands three separate AI-wingmen and make use of each one's special abilities to both attack and defend their squadron leader. The gamer will command his squadron through a twenty mission campaign, growing together as an elite fighting force through the entire length of WWII.

The environment feels so real that one feels like he/she is the pilot in a famous WWII movie. The backgrounds for the greatest air battles of World War II are visually striking including weather conditions. The 40 different aircraft that the player will get to fly include the famous P-51 Mustang, the P-38 Lightning, the B-17 Flying Fortress, and the Luftwaffe's Messerschmitt, the Spitfire of Britain and the Japanese Zero. The details of each plane are well-done, from the wing rivets and the nose art to the cockpits. The controls are also easy to learn and master for each aircraft.

The game offers so much, including multiplayer online. Whether you are a born pilot or a wannabe ace, this game offers you the chance to loop-the-loop around a live audience and to prove your worth. It is not the perfect flying game, but it is getting pretty close to it. Just alone on replay value, this title is going in my game vault.
