To begin the game, you start off with your basic three rows, your Resource Row, your Hero Row and your Ally row. In the resource row you have your deck and to its left – your graveyard. To the right of the deck are recourse cards, e.g. quest cards. The next row up contains your Hero Card. The Hero Card represents you , the leader of your party. The rest of the row can be filled with Armor, Weapon, and Ability Cards that improve your Hero. The last row that sits at the top is the Ally Row. The Ally Row contains the other members of your party; basically any named character card that you have at your disposal. Of course the game goes more in-depth as far as card traits. Card Names, Costs, Traits, Attack and Health are a few of the things found on the card, along with descriptions and restrictions. The creators use very obvious pictures to indicate what a specific number or icon might do. For example, a sword with super-imposed numbers on top of it indicates the melee attack power of that card. The Starter Pack contains a 31-card deck built for one of 9 character classes, 3 Epic Character Cards, 2 Booster Packs, and of course, the rulebook. The makers of the card game have even enclosed some loot cards in random booster packs and starter decks that will give you exclusive in-game items in the World of Warcraft PC game. The Evolution Factor of these cards seems to be quite high. With the PC MMORPG taking hold of a good chunk of the world's population and with Blizzard's uncanny ability to create highly addictive products, chances are that these will be around for a long time to come. The setup is fairly simple, and the game play and combat are just as easily understood, making this game one that a multitude of people will not only be interested in but will be able to play within minutes of opening up their first starter pack. I would highly recommend this game. It may be highly addictive and cost a pretty penny after a time, but it's quite fun and easy to understand.
