Pixar successfully combines the rugged feel of Daytona type racing with the inner child inside most of us in Disney's Cars movie. To celebrate the release, Fossil has released a commemorative, limited edition watch based upon the Disney/Pixar picture.

The Cars watch comes with an awesome oil can storage case featuring in-movie advertisements (e.g. No Stall, Rusteze, Vitoline, ReVolting). It features a sturdy, rugged looking charcoal gray leather strap measuring a bit over 1.25 inches in width, complete with the Cars logo on the dial. The size of the watch seems to suit a person with a larger build. Many of us at TME tried it on and found that it was just too big for practical timepiece use. The retail price of $105.00 is a very fair price, but considering the limited practical use, a price of $100.00 or less would have been more reasonable.

I can't say no to Disney collectibles, so I am proudly going to add the Cars watch to my collection. Since the release is limited to 2000 pieces, avid Disney collectors should definitely take a look while supplies last. If the strap had been a bit less bulky and wide I might have given this item a High Evolution factor. As a result, I give Fossil's watch a Medium Evolution Factor.
