DC Direct's Batman toyline continues with their ultrahot figurines from the best selling Hush storyline designed by artist, Jim Lee.
This line consists of five figures featuring Superman, Catwoman, Nightwing, Harley Quinn, and the Riddler. The figures come fully
equipped with accessories shown in the story. I personally like the Superman figure in this set depicted as Poison Ivy's mindless playtoy,
complete with vancant, angered, red-eye, stare. The figure also comes entagled in some of Posion Ivy's vines. Figuring that he can do almost
anything, including rise from the dead, he really doesnt need many accessories. The other mentionable figure in this set are Nightwing and Harley
Quinn. Nightwing was the original Robin, who eventually got tired of being in the shadow of Batman so he quit and later made a name for himself.
The figure looks like he could give the Batman a run for his money. The Harley Quinn figure just looks deadly accurate down to the popgun and the
innocent look on her face. She is definitely worth finding just to pair up with the Joker figure from the first set. The other figures are well done but
as a collector, these stood out the most and would be worth a lot to fans. The Hush 2 line was only available through comic and specialty stores.
Like the first set there was only one figure that was available when the whole set was purchased. These figure sets are made with collectors in
mind so distribution was sparse. The packaging was a four color window display box with an enclosed action stand for display. The MSRP was
16.99, although prices will go up due to their collectability.
The evo factor in these works of art is that they will retain or even increase value as time goes on. The detail that Jim Lee puts into these pieces
is almost lifelike, as if they stepped out of the comics into 3D. These items are highly recommended for comic fans and collectors of the DC universe!
