Razer Copperhead comes in Chaos Green, Anarchy Red, & Tempest Blue. Courtesy Razer.
The Razer Copperhead is currently Razer's highest performance mouse in the market. Simply, it's a 2000 DPI laser mouse. On a slightly deeper level, it's a 7 button mouse with a 7 foot cable that has a quicker and more precise response than the typical mouse. Its design is similar to the Krait, but it has a more ergonomic feel with the raise center. The Copperhead comes in three different illuminated colors: Anarchy Red, Tempest Blue and Chaos Green. It is also symmetrical to allow use by a left or right handed gamer.

Like the Krait, the Copperhead has zero-friction Teflon feet. The 2000 DPI causes a significant increase in performance, which, like the Krait, required me to turn the sensitivity down out of the box. The Copperhead also has its own software. Upon opening the software for the first time it looked quite simple, but it hides the more advanced options which include more advanced sensitivity adjustments, scroll speeds, acceleration, double click speed, and more.

The Copperhead also features 32KB of onboard memory for use by Razer Synapse. Razer Synapse lets you store up to five profiles without need for drivers. Thus you can carry or move your mouse around and still keep all your profile settings. Razer even adds a button dedicated to switching between these profiles, and you can also switch between each profile through the software or even set a specific button to switch the profile. Each of the 7 buttons is customizable, thus allowing you to set up macros or configure the setup as you like. Although the Copperhead has on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment, it needs a button assigned to be able to use it.

The performance out of this mouse is enough to blow any gamer away. If you're a serious PC gamer this mouse is a must. So, next time you're in the store looking to buy a gaming mouse, get the Razer Copperhead; it should be the most obvious choice. If you're a hardcore gamer you can purchase the Copperhead Pro Tools to customize the weight and even add dummy buttons.
