Razer KraitReviewed by Jonathan Levy
You may be wondering what is so special about this mouse. Well, simply quite a bit. The feet are made of a zero friction Teflon surface, allowing the mouse to glide on any surface with the utmost of ease. The mouse also has a 1600 DPI optical engine for great precision. This causes a great deal of the performance increase. These increases are mostly noted in the speed and sensitivity. Out of the box, I had to turn down the sensitivity to have control of the mouse because it was far more sensitive that I am accustomed to using. Once turned down to an acceptable, it still outperformed the mouse that I was previously using. The Krait has no contours designed for a specific hand, thus allowing it to be used right or left-handed. The mouse itself is considerably more low profile than my other mouse, which made me feel the desk a bit more but with no loss of comfort. The Krait includes its own software for adjusting the sensitivity, double-click speed, DPI, and button configuration. With the sensitivity adjustment, you can adjust each individual axis, acceleration control, and general sensitivity. There is even an on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment you can enable but requires a button to be pushed for its use. The DPI can be switched between 400 and 1600 DPI.

All in all, this mouse is quite impressive. I had to really sit down and game with it to get a good feel for it and give it a proper review. Once I began using it, I couldn't switch back because it was just so much better than my other mouse. My only problem was that it lacked side buttons, which I commonly use in my web browser. This mouse would be a must for any gamer, a professional who requires high precision and control, or even a student with little space for their mouse.
