Casual gaming is no longer a fad in the industry. It is taking over the market. With more devices to view television shows and send email, it is not a coincidence that games are not too far behind. Glyph is a 1-2 player PC game that is just as addictive and fun for any age. The game is easy to learn and kept me quite occupied from writing this review on time!
In Glyph, players are the descendents of the elemental masters trying to save a dying world by using symbols that represent powerful elements. Players will have a chance to use a variety of power-ups and objects to move guard stones and break though layers of rocks. By doing this, gamers release the powers of Fire, Air, Water, Wood, Metal and Aether to discover the secret of the glyphs.
Game play is quite addictive. There are two main modes: Quest and Action. In Quest, you follow the storyline of the world of Kuros. There are 3 boss stages, 125 custom levels and a bunch of objects you will use to reach your goal. In Action mode, it’s fast and furious puzzle action. There are a 130 more levels that will test the limits. The colors of the game are exceptionally vivid and detailed, and the landscape and objects are subdued and quite artistic.
You don’t have to play games to enjoy this game. Glyph is action-packed with many levels to keep one occupied for quite some time. Anyone, from kid to adult, will enjoy the complexities of the puzzles and the story development. There is also a bonus game called Snail Mail on the retail copy. Turbo the Snail travels throughout the universe attempting to deliver players work through 50 levels in Postal Mode, Challenge Mode, and get the fastest time in Time Trials. All this is worth the meager price of $19.99.
