Iron ManReviewed by Alicia Glass
Wealthy industrialist and playboy Tony Stark has an epiphany after being kidnapped by terrorists, and builds himself a mechanical suit to help balance his former wrongs on the world. This really is a fantastic movie, Marvel outdid themselves this time. Iron Man has a bit of something for everyone. The die-hard fans get a well thought out storyline similar to the original. The new fans get astounding (and believable) graphics, cars, guns and bodysuits, most of which go BOOM! Gwyneth Paltrow does a fine job for the role they gave her. (I am still sick of female leads in action movies running around in heels though.) She looks better as a strawberry blonde too. Jeff Bridges appears as Obediah Stane, the major bad guy. It’s not a huge far cry from TRON, which Bridges starred in as Flynn many fabled years ago. Although, seeing him play a bad guy with a bald head and white beard is still a bit oddly. As always, Stan Lee makes his characteristic bit cameo in the movie. And you’ll have a fit when you hear who he’s mistaken for this time! More Screenshots : ![]() |
