Kelly Bennett as Amy in Prophet. Courtesy 310 Pictures.
A dark comedy about Death, Time, and other Inconveniences.

Amy Kelly is studying in the library, wanting to be left alone. She falls asleep, and is awakened by the arrival of the Prophet, who tells her that someone in the library will DIE in two minutes! He knows, because well, his lovely pocket watch says so. And then of course, the inconvenience of bathroom necessity arises and the Prophet rushes off, to leave Amy to ponder, is he crazy or what?

The brainchild of novice filmmaker John Chiafos, Prophet is an enjoyable little vignette movie. Short but accomplished in telling a whole story, lacking the clutter of CGI effects, fine acting from the small cast. Any up-and-coming filmmaker would be proud of such an accomplishment.

If you're a fan of a simple thing called plot that many movies nowadays lack, you'll like this movie.
