Snack foods, especially imports, always make a great accompaniment to any form of entertainment.  From the heart of the Italian Alps, the Loacker Company sends some good old fashioned wafer snacks—bite-size!  Loacker Quadratini are bite-size wafer cubes with a variety of fillings to choose from, such as dark chocolate, vanille (vanilla), coconut, lemon, apple, amaretto, and the list goes on like Pocky.

I happened to try the tiramisu Quadratini, and upon opening the bag, I was instantly pleased by the refreshing aroma of espresso.  Between each layer of crispy wafer resides a creamy spread of each of the tiramisu components.  The folks at Loacker actually modeled the layers of the tiramisu Quadratini to match the structure of the famous Tuscan dessert.

Now if you’re not a big fan of tiramisu, you may want to start with a different kind, but I can tell you this much: my first bite will definitely NOT be the last.  Every cube delivers nothing short of delight.  I find that slightly chilling these mini-treats brings out even more of the flavor, and they definitely go great with other dessert foods like ice cream!

The Loacker Company creates a champion snack to satisfy that sweet tooth.  For tiramisu lovers, the Quadratini make a nifty munch when the real thing is not an option.
