As far as beverages go, there are more than thousands of energy beverages out on the market. There is another one that you can add to the list but it will not go down as quietly as the rest. Vault, a new energy beverage soda launches this month in US beverage markets as “The Taste. The Quench. The Kick.™.”

The package design itself is a fluorescent green bottle with a diamond shape pattern for a better grip. It is currently available in 1 liter and 20 ounce bottles at local beverage retailers, convenience stores and supermarkets. Vault has a high profile look but what about the taste.

Vault holds up to its name as the energy beverage soda. The drink isn't as carbonated as most sodas are. It has enough to recognize it as a non juice-like beverage. The flavor tastes similar to Sprite but has more lemon flavor. It definitely is something you can mix with but may make the fizziness out of it.

There is also a Vault Zero which is the diet version of the new drink and contains no calories. It tastes similar to lemon water that is fizzed up.

Although Vault is a great looking package and has a marketing scheme that will attract gamers and the young crowd alike, there is nothing new flavor wise to offer. Vault tastes like some other energy drinks that you encounter in the market. It is hard to say whether or not this beverage will be successful. Only the marketing gurus can save that. At about a $1.50 per bottle it's ok but I would just be happy buying Sprite.
