Snapple PieReviewed by Ryan Jenkins
Snapple Pie fulfils the somewhat perverse fantasy of those who imagine taking tasty solid foods, putting them in a high powered blender and drinking the liquefied contents. The drink inspired a great deal of curiosity from my roommates, girlfriend, and passers-by on the street who desired to try an apple pie in beverage form. The silver label and the large pie graphic add to the intrigue and mystery of this truly original product. The impression that I get after sampling this drink, is that it consists of many layers of unique flavors. The first reminds me of super-sweet pie filling, followed by the more wholesome taste of apple or berry juice, and topped of with a light layer of cinnamon that recalls a flaky homemade crust. After a few sips, however, the drink becomes a bit overwhelming. Finishing an entire 16 ounce bottle probably would produce a stomach ache equal to the result of one trying to eat and entire pie.

I have to give the drink high ratings though for its sheer originality and innovative qualities. Maybe the drink can be enjoyed in a large group, after a meal, with each person taking a sip equivalent to the amount of pie they would normally consume.
