RootsReviewed by Christine Quidim
I have always enjoyed a fresh cup of iced coffee, especially at the local Japanese restaurant. When I'm on the go, canned coffee serves as a decent substitute. Japanese supermarkets carry a large variety of canned coffees. As a test of faith during my last shopping excursion, I strayed from my usual brands to try Roots.
Creamy Café The elegant designs of each can surely attract any eyes browsing the beverage aisle. Aside from their classy looks, these cans are constructed with the HTST process. This design allows you to heat up your coffee in the microwave (open the can first). As for the taste and caffeine kick, these coffees do an impressive job of maintaining the authenticity of that fresh cup.

Roots coffee comes in an assortment of different blends, from straight black to a milder, sweeter latte. Listed below are just a handful of the many varieties available from the latte to the hardcore espresso:
Compared to the fresh cup that you can brew everyday, Roots canned varieties are really a good substitute to the real thing. It's a quick fix that can be quite pricey from $1.50 per can but definitely cheaper than the usual order of Starbucks or their marketed Doubleshot. Roots is something definitely to try once and to keep in mind for the midnight munchies.
