Asian markets are great places to scout around for food and beverages that are out of the ordinary. Generally speaking, the scope of Coke and Mountain Dew makes one less receptive to other flavors. Usually it's tough to try something so foreign because of the way the packaging looks or deciphering the English version of the ingredients. Suntory makes an effort to entice a consumer with Natchan. In the Asian market beverage aisle one might happen to see a row of bottles or cans with simple happy faces on one side and sad expressions on the other. The flavors available are:

  • Apple
  • Pear
  • Grape
  • Orange
  • Tangerine
  • Mixed Berry
  • Mixed Fruit
(Left-Right) Natchan Orange and Apple juices.

Natchan is a very clear juice. The taste is devoid of any extra sweeteners or preservatives, just honest apple, pear, grape, or orange. It comes in a variety of sizes from a simple 8 ounce can to a full 42 ounce bottle. Sometimes, Suntory includes a small trinket such as a magnet or a bottle opener with the famous Natchan mug Ice it and it hits the spot on a nice hot day. Mix-it-up with some hot tea and it's the best thing on a cold winter night.

Natural and delicious, Natchan is safe for those who are craving the non-sweetened path of goodness. Since it is made of natural ingredients, this beverage is a sure hit with consumers of all ages.
