There are many selections one could make while going through the beverage aisle at 7-Eleven. The numerous cooled cases of energy drinks and sports beverages would make the thirstiest athlete swim in ecstasy.

One noticeable package caught my eye and sparked my curiosity. The High Performance Beverage Company has released NOS: The High Performance Energy Drink. The NOS brand is best known for its uses in the automotive world for car performance enhancement. The 16 oz. can was quite attractive with the noticeable NOS logo in orange and blue. The can looked racy and would definitely attract any crowd.

The taste was quite unexpected. The chilled passion fruit flavor was a welcomed change from the usual syrupy, grass-tasting formulas that most energy drinks are known for. There were the normal ingredients such as Taurine, Ginseng, D-Ribose, L-Carnitine, Folic Acid and Vitamins C, B6 and B12. A sugar-free version is also available with the same invigorating taste.

This energy beverage has a definite audience and a great flavor and packaging to boot. The price is about average for energy drinks (about $2.00 a can), and the can is definitely worth the value. Auto enthusiasts and energy drink fans will agree that this is one drink that will win every time.
