The 7-Eleven convenience store chain has released its own line of sodas for their consumers fiending the sugar rush that haunts them during the wee hours of the night. Five different flavors were made available in select nation-wide 7-Eleven's for a mere price of eighty-nine cents per bottle. The products available were Cola with pure cane sugar, Diet Cola with Splenda, Apple Ginger Snap, Cranberry Citrus, Green Cream, and Mint Lime Twist. Each of the sodas are packaged in a proprietary 20 oz bottle with a wide mouth for major gulping! Seven Eleven is planning to release additional flavors as well as a two-liter version based on the products' sales.

I have had the pleasure of tasting the entire line of sodas and wholeheartedly endorse these beverages with flying colors. In the taste category, nothing can beat the syrup like goodness. A sugar junkie would find nothing but heaven with this delicious nectar. This quality may discourage some people from drinking it. However the solution to softening the sweetness is to add a bit of seltzer or club soda to your taste. The Cola has a different kick and definitely high in the diabetics "eliminate this food" category, but the diet cola with Splenda is a great substitution for those not really into the calories. The other flavors are refreshingly different such as the mint lime twist and the apple ginger spice. Apple ginger spice has a perfect mix of sparkling fresh apple juice, cinnamon, and ginger-ale. Place this drink over ice and it'll remind you of a crisp apple harvest. The Cranberry Citrus had a bit too much flavoring but nothing a little club soda can't fix.

You really can't complain. The big gulp sodas definitely give consumers more than their money's worth with great taste and affordability. I would like to see them expand these flavors into their Slurpee line. These sodas can also be used as mixers for alcoholic beverages.
