“Ex-Machina” revolves around the fictional life of New York Mayor Mitchell Hundred who attained a special power: the control of mechanic devices, such as cars and guns. The story takes place in our present day, through events that happen in the fictional life of Mayor Hundred. After receiving his new-found powers, Mitchell Hundred assumes the identity of the Great Machine. As the Great Machine, Mitchell puts his powers to good use by rescuing those who are in danger by using gadgets, such as a rocket pack.  Also, he has help from his friends Kremlin and Bradbury. After Mitchell takes office as Mayor of New York, he decides to reveal his identity as the Great Machine to the people.

The story jumps from different time settings showing both the past and present events that occur in the life of Mitchell Hundred. By doing this, the book gives the reader the present plot of the story while revealing some background on our protagonist. With its smart and suspenseful plot, the comic and the realistic illustrations bring the hero to life. However, the graphic visuals and strong language may only be suitable for adults.

I believe that this comic will progress as time goes on and its fan base will increase greatly. It has a very unique style of organization along with a very smart and thrilling plot. The characters are drawn down to the closest detail to make the reader feel as if the characters exist in real life. I believe that this comic book will be successful due to its smart and suspenseful plot as well as its vivid visuals. I highly recommend it.
