While this is published by Drawn & Quarterly, it is not technically a comic book. Instead, A Village Under My Pillow is a mini art showcase under the "Petits Livres" section, all arranged and painted by Luc Giard. Most of these works seem to be referenced from photos; whether these works are old or new can't be ascertained due to the lack of text on most. Other art pieces seem to be panels of comics that both have little context or have descended into a roughly painted chaos. These would be the main drawbacks of this little collection. With that being said, this is a collection of art and not an actual comic, so that really can't apply too much.

While most comic readers would (and to be honest, they probably should) shy away from something like this, the simplistic art, personal portraits, and photo adaptations can be enjoyed by pretty much anyone.
