Insignificant GodsReviewed by Russell Purdy
The Insignificant Gods series thus far smacks of the indie anti-hero comics of the 90's. Set as an angsty noir in Detroit, we follow a character who lost their memory and goes about this scene of torture and death trying to find a girl named Agnes, someone that might fill in more than a few blanks. Throw in the mix some masochistic bad guys and you've got a definite walk through the well-defined world of noir. The writing itself lends itself a bit hokey, but it rights itself and wanders back on the nihilistic path that others created. The art is varied, but still enjoyable, as even in its' chaotic moments it conveys the message that was intended.

While this is no new field, nor new themes presented, Insignificant Gods is still an enjoyable read for those who want a little bit of a flashback and some bleak-styled adventure.
