Ghost in the Shell : Stand Alone Complex 2nd GiGReviewed by Norman Canseco
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex returns for a second season. This time Major Kusanagi and the group of Section 9 come up against perhaps their toughest opponent ever. The issue of equal rights for refugee workers has escalated and terrorism comes from all sides as a virus, known as the Individual Eleven, drives those infected to cause chaos throughout the city. Under direction of the new prime minister, Aramaki and Section 9 try to uncover a major plot by government officials, as well as track down a known activist whose goal is to unite his followers and take them to the Otherside of the Net. The story is full of twists and fulfills the need for good storylines in the anime world. The animation is excellent and stays true to the manga. The continuation of the Tachikomatic Days returns with more witty antics!
