Takemoto Yuuta, Mayama Takumi, Morita Shinobu, Yamada Ayumi , and Hanamoto Hagumi are all art college students. Even though they're poor and barely passing college, they're still able to somehow find happiness in their lives. But besides looking at all their problems dealing with college life, this anime will take you into each individual's story and show his/her troubles dealing with love.
This anime was actually pretty funny; every episode put one of the characters in an unpredictable situation and in end they came up with some unique way of dealing with it. The one thing I didn't like was how the story kept jumping from person to person. I could see how they tried to compress all the characters' lives into one episode, so the viewer could see the individual everyday interactions, but after a while it gets hard to keep up with every person in the anime.
I gave Honey and Clover a medium Evolution Factor because it just took too long to get into the story. It was slow at first and when you finally get into it the storyline, it turns out to be funny and a little romantic. Someone who is new to anime may find it difficult to follow along because of the story jumping to multiple situations. I would recommend watching this with someone to make sure that you catch what is going on.
