After her brother leaves, Shinano is told to help with the shop on Maniac Road . Being new to her school, she has no friends and tries to find a way to become noticed. Through certain circumstances, an opportunity falls into her lap. She becomes the president of the school's Manga Club. The club has had little to no reputation, so it is up to Shinano to save it, or it will ultimately shut down. This is where the comedy begins. With no artistic talent and having to keep up with school work, she now has the task of trying to recruit new members. What's funny is that Shinano is far from being president material. That and she is still a freshman. Will she prevail? Find out and read this manga because it had me laughing in a few parts since I can relate to her lifestyle (the part where she stays up all night playing video games). The art was really well done. It showed the funny expressions we all love to see animated on characters. Being the hyper girl that she is, Shinano has numerous amounts of expressions that had me cracking up. The dialogue is very funny and the translations are done really well.

With art that is well done for the genre that it addresses, Pretty Maniacs is quite hysterical for the masses. And Shinano's rivalry with Otowa-san is just too funny. This is not a mature-rated manga, so it's something that everyone can enjoy!
