Piyoko Analogue III (Piyoko for short) is the 8-year-old leader of the evil Black Gema Gema Gang. Their mission this time – since landing on Earth – is to kidnap Princess Di Gi Charat for a high ransom! Planet Analogue is a very poor planet, low on resources, so Piyoko decides that the ransom money from kidnapping the princess will be all she needs to save her home planet! However, Piyoko soon comes to find that Princess Di Gi Charat is even more evil than she and the Black Gema Gema Gang is!

Piyoko Is Number One! is a manga that I would suggest to both beginning and experienced readers. The book is an intertwinement of 13 different stories about Piyoko, Dejiko, and all the other beloved and amiable characters that we have come to love over the years, and a history of the Black Gema Gema Gang. If you have ever wanted to know more about the Di Gi Charat characters, this is definitely the way to do it.

Piyoko is Number 1! is very fun to read and quite unique.  Koge-Donbo does one of the 13 stories and the other 12 are done by guest artists who add their own unique flair to the Di Gi Charat series. These charming aspects of the manga give it a medium to high evolution factor, so go out and grab Piyoko Is Number 1!
