SprigganReviewed by Marcio Guastavino
Spriggan is about a young man named Yu Ominae who works for a secret organization called ARCAM. What's special about Yu is that he is superhuman. In his past he is trained to be a great warrior and with this training he is to protect ancient artifacts from falling into the wrong hands. Along the way he meets old enemies that threaten the very existence of mankind. This anime has all the right elements: gunfights, chase scenes, telekinesis powers, and some of the coolest characters I've ever seen. Voice actors like Chris Patton (Yu Ominae) or J. D. Hawkins (ARCAM) do a very good job in this film. As for the soundtrack, it fits the anime perfectly. While you won't find any memorable tracks, there isn't any bad music. The plot is intense and the animation is well done. This movie will satisfy any anime crave you may have. As far as the age rating, I wouldn't recommend this one for the kids. There's way too much violence and blood.

I give Spriggan a medium Evolution Factor. If more people caught on to this anime I'm sure the population would grow. It is not really a mainstream title and those who know about it are really into anime. I've seen this movie many times and it never gets tiring. I recommend it to all those who are looking for a good advanced anime to watch.
